Ok I had alot of problems doing this and looked at a bunch of sites but came up short. If your coming up short too try my method im using a backed up copy of action replay max.
what you need : Swap Magic / Action Replay Max / CD-DVD Loader "I use the dvdloader7all"
what you do :
1.load up action replay max (with Swap Magic "CD" if its backed up)
2. choose expert mode on AR's Main menu
3. choose your game and codes then press start then x to load the dvd when it says "make sure the cd is in and press ok" or something like that PRESS the EJECT button and put in Swap Magic (dvd for dvd games cd for compact disk games)
4.when swap magic ask you to load the game swap using your slide card or fliptop and replace the Swap Magic CD/DVD with CD/DVD Loader7all
5. when dvd loader loads up PRESS EJECT and place your Swap Magic CD/DVD in.
6. PRESS X
7. now CD/DVD loader should say "SWAP USING EA METHOD" which means swap using your slide card or flip top. now just swap in your backup and PRESS X.
your game should load and cheats should be activated. have fun
