Pakistani vocalist Atif Aslam after rocking it with his voice in Aadat, Woh Lamhe and the recent Tere Bin from the movie Bas Ek Pal has finally launched his first Indian Solo Album, its called Doorie. The track is above average and of course there's something about Atif's voice that makes an ordinary track special. Here's the video that was aired on MTV. The only sad thing is first it was movies where they stole concepts, ideas or the entire thing. The trend has been followed in Music Videos as well. This one is no different either. The video is a complete copy of "In The Shadows" by Rasmus with shades of "Khamaj" (Morra Saiyyan) by Fuzon in it.

Atif Aslam is back. Album Doorie is out. What you think of his latest album. Which song you like. I have downloaded it from internet. Click here to download the entire album if you haven't. As for the video the only one out is Doorie & that's what you can see on TV as well these days. Over the internet it's available at many websites. You can watch it on YOUTUBE here . Throughout the album the only negative thing you will notice is the monotonous Atif-Aslam that we know; especially the inclusion of previous album songs they made it looked like desperation to bring this album out rather any hard work. Otherwise the album doesn't disappoint you. Looks like in series with the previous album. If you liked it then chance is you gonna like this one too.

Personal Review:

Starting with first song Doorie, you get an impression of nice techno/ trance embedded with sound variations and good buildup. The quickly becomes a steady composition. The next song is the same old Ehsaas, nothing much here. Hum Kis Galli Ja Rahe Hain is nice one, infact equal to first one with a rock touch. Kuch Iss Tarhan is a slow number with nice flute with different experimental sounds and ghazal effect, though it never sounds ghazal at all. O Re Piya is a good song with an Indian movie touch (I like the tabla). Good one. Mahi Ve Soniya is Punjabi touch song that goes well as you get into the rhythm with it. The lyrics specially have been well placed with the tunes here else they would sound miserable. The saxophone is used well too. The Qawali style Maula is a good attempt though. Could have improved a lot & if the pace was slowed down with powerful lyrics it could be one of the best. But unfortunately Atif lacking in traditional training music this would be real tough. Next Yaqeen is the same old good track.

Doorie (House Mix) is better than the original Doorie, but that's for me. You do share your opinion. The trance touch suits so well to this one. Great work Atif. I wonder what if completely switches to trance side. All the songs after this one are remixes with nice compositions but the album I guess would be great in a concert than at home. One would be fed up with the monotonous tunes. All in all an album worth listening to. You sure will love it in a dance party or concert. Following is the list of songs available in album.

1) Doorie 2) Ehsaas (Old song from 1st album) 3) Hum Kis Galli Ja Rahe Hain 4) Kuch Iss Tarhan 5) O Re Piya 6) Mahi Ve (Old song from 1st album) 7) Mahi Ve Soniya 8) Maula 9) Yaqeen (Old song from 1st album) 10) Doorie (House Mix) 11) Kuch Is Tarhan (Euro Mix) 12) Mahi Ve Soniya (Soul Mix) 13) O Re Piya (Trance Mix) 14) Yaqeen (Club Mix) 15) Doorie (Energy Mix) 16) Mahi Ve (Eternal Mix) 17) Hum Kis Galli Ja Rahe Hain (Dance Mix) 18) Ehsaas (Freaky Mix).
