Many people worry that modern society is making our children grow up too quickly, while others are convinced we have created a nation of cotton wool kids, unable to look after themselves. What if there were a world without parents, a safe environment where children could take all the decisions? Now, in a bold and ambitious new four-part documentary series, ten boys and ten girls aged between eight and 11 years old are being given the chance to experience life without mum and dad for two weeks.
