[Tutorial] Mounting an Image

lilMahsta's Mounting Tutorial


1. Download Daemon Tools at
www.daemon-tools.cc or google for it ;)

2. Install Daemon Tools

3. Run Daemon Tools
The Daemon tools try icon should show up like in the image shown below.

4. Right click the tray icon go to Virtual CD/DVD Rom -> Set number of devices... -> 1

5. Wait till Daemon Tools created the virtual drive. Then go to Virtual CD/DVD Rom -> Device 0 -> Mount image

Set the file filter to all files and find your image.

6. Find your image and click ok. Wait till Daemon Tools finishes mounting. If the CD/DVD does not start automatically (autostart) go to My Computer and you'll see the new drive with your image mounted.

7. To unmount the image after installing/playing or whatever you did with it just right-click Daemon Tools tray and go to Virtual CD/DVD Rom -> Unmount all drives

8. Congratulations... you just learned how to mount/unmount an image
