Hebrewhamer's LAN sharing Guide!!!
ON VISTA PC : go to Control Panel\Network and Sharing Center
1. You need it to be set like this:
Network discovery : ON
File Sharing : ON
Public Folder Sharing : ON (Read Only)
Password Protected Sharing : OFF
2. Now go and press right button on a folder you want to share press properties and go to the share tab and press share.
a window will pop out in wich you will have to choose the people to share with. choose Guest! from the list and press ADD (dont forget about it, happened to me...).
then share!!
if Vista does not show the User GUEST!! then in the Network and Shareing Center on the left press "set up a connection or a network" and do th same steps as XP PC and in the begining choose "set up a wireless router or access point" then continue same as XP PC!!
ON XP PC : you need to go to My Network Places and on the left side press "Set up a home or small office network" do next untill you reach "Workgroup name" and type this : WORKGROUP then finish the procces and put the files that you want to share on the XP PC.(to do so press properties on the folder that you want to share go to the share tab and select " share this folder on the network")
Your Done!!!!!

NOW THE SHAREING PART :D :
FROM VISTA TO XP : (now you on an XP Computer and you want to get files from Vista Computer)
to get the files from the network open your browser and type:
\\Computer name\
(for example : \\Hebrewhamer-PC\ usualy its the name that shows in start menu with a minus sign " - " and PC : \\Hebrewhamer-PC\
and press enter! and it will open the shared folder!!!!
From XP TO VISTA : (now you on an Vista Computer and you want to get files from XP Computer)
go to Start ---> Networks and in the networks folder open the Computer that you want to get files from!
There you go :D hope i helped because i had to look in 6 different guides just to findout how to share on LAN network.
