In this tutorial I will teach you how to change the text where it would normally say:
"Slide To Unlock"
"Sync In Progress"
"Enter Passcode"
"Slide To Power Off"
"Slide To Cancel"
Ok....first thing is to open up notepad
Copy and paste the following text in-between the lines (dont include lines)
_______________________________________
"AWAY_LOCK_LABEL" = "enter text here";
"SYNC_IN_PROGRESS" = "enter text here";
"ENTER_PASSCODE" = "enter text here";
"POWER_DOWN_LOCK_LABEL" = "enter text here";
"SLIDE_TO_CANCEL" = "enter text here";
________________________________________
Now that you have that pasted in notepad, replace the "enter text here" with whatever you wish...DO NOT delete the quotation marks!
Once you are finished save it to your desktop as "SpringBoard.strings"
MAKE SURE TO ERASE .txt IF EVER APPEARS IN ANY STEP
Now open up WinScp and go back once, then click "Stash" then "Themes". Now click f7 to create a new folder, and name the folder "SliderText". Now enter that folder and create another folder named "Bundles". Inside Bundles create another folder named "com.apple.springboard". Inside that folder create a folder named "en.lproj" (see asterick at bottom of this post). Now drag the SpringBoard.strings file on your desktop into that folder.
Now get your ipod and enter winterboard and select "SliderText", once it resprings your new text should appear.
Hope This Helps!!!
*** Where I put en.lproj, the "en" stands for English. What you put there needs to be the language set on your ipod. Ex: If your language is Dutch, you would put nl.lproj...hope this helps with confusion...hopefully i will get a list of all languages. :)
Also this might help some of you:
At first it wasnt working. My ipod is in English BUT the region format is in portuguese and at the beginning i put the folder with the name "en.lproj" and it didn't work and then i put "pt.lproj" and it worked !
Hopefully that will help
This works 100% tested by me
